When a contest is announced for the tidiest town, Ivy tries to help her grandmother mend her ways but is interrupted when opportunities to help the magical creatures come her way.  Very heart warming.

Lost in the Pacific, 1942: Not a Drop to Drink

A survival story from WW2. Eight men, one of whom is a military hero, go down in the Pacific and have to survive 22 days without food or water. Black and white pictures are included.

This is the first in the "Lost" series that highlight  other historical accounts of those surviving other  "lost" experiences. While not inappropriate for younger children, the account relies on some general knowledge of the historical event.

Lost in Outer Space: The Incredible Journey of Apollo 13 is the next book in the series.
